Amazing surgery! Dr Rutland is fantastic
If I could give this service a zero I would. No appointments are available via reception. The Introduction of the walk-in service is shocking. The expectation is that you turn up at the surgery and the quite rude and defensive receptionists decide wether you should see a GP or a nurse..you then get to wait in a packed waiting room with no information on current waiting times until a GP or Nurse is ready to see you. We waited 2.5 hours with a very ill, young, asthmatic boy with a severe chest infection to see a nurse. This lack of access to a GP is distressing and potentially dangerous for all patients. I would not recommend this surgery.
Amazing walk in service waited all of 1 minute to see Dr Walder. Very kind and efficient to my daughter. Whole experience including collecting prescription took 45 minutes! Many thanks
Terrible. For a start, it's virtually impossible to get an appointment at all. By phone there's an average 30 minutes wait - and if not made early in the morning, there won't be any appointments available once you finally get through. Online (this is their preferred method) there are no available appointments. I just tried - 1 half hour slot with a doctor I've never met before in 3 weeks' time. That's it. For the entire surgery. Their new 'drop in' service is madness. 2.5 hours sat waiting in a room without enough chairs for whichever poor overworked GP happens to be unlucky enough to be on shift that day. Though good at minor complaints, their junior doctors show an almost dangerous lack of empathy when it comes to mental health crisis. There is only 1 doctor I trust there, but I can't find any way to make an appointment with her. The only option is the drop-in lottery.
I'm absolutely disgusted with this surgery! My partner has been on the phone waiting for an hour and ten minutes to make an appointment with only 3 people ahead of her. After then finally getting through 30 seconds later she is told to phone again tomorrow because there is no routine appointment showing on his screen yet!! What a pathetic appointment system you must have in place! Maybe going back to pen and paper would be best for you?
