Food ok, value for money. Hotel does allow dogs to stay. Great location
Planning a wedding here in 2020. Carries was very good in taking us though all the options and giving us confidence that everything would be well planned and organised. Will give an update when the happy day has happened!
Somewhere mostly only locals know. Relatively inexpensive food (for the area). Good views, parking and outdoor seating. You can sit and chat for as long as you like over coffee, a snack, a meal or drinks. Food is served all day.
Staff lovely, room had a stunning aspect with duel aspect harbour views. Bed comfy... bit cheaply decorated, shabby when you look at detail. Breakfast pretty good. Good value for price we paid. 3 stars due to massive leak from upstairs just before leaving and being told it was prob just the upstairs shower and thanks they would let maintenance know... sorry would have been more appropriate.
Where to start with our review, firstly with a massive Thank you to all the team at The Salterns. I know all couples say their day was perfect and ours was no exception. When we first visited and met with Carrie we knew this was the venue and the person we wanted to work with. Carrie has such a warm and friendly approach and understood what we wanted from our Wedding day, nothing was too much trouble. Communication was always timely, even when Carrie was on her own holiday!We have had so many lovely compliments from our guests about the food and the whole wedding day. It ran so smoothly under Carrie and Kathryn's watchful eyes, making sure everyone was in the right place at the right time. The space was organised and decorated beautifully (with help from Poppies Florists). We also wish to thank Ellie on reception for helping make the photos with all of the beautiful Golden Retrievers happen - it was the cherry on the cake! And still much of a talking point Due to family circumstances we had to bring our wedding forward and Carrie was able to facilitate this and we are extremely grateful for her help and support. We are lucky enough to be local so we will definitely be coming back for date nights regularly!We would highly recommend The Salterns Hotel for your wedding, if you want a relaxed day with the personal touch.
