Our cat has only been registered with the Oakdale practice for just under a year but already I would have no hesitation in recommending Medivets Oakdale to any loving pet owner. We had previously been registered with another vet for 6 years but after our cat started to become an extremely difficult patient (probably putting it lightly!!) they just didn't want to see us, sometimes at the extent of his health! When we had been fobbed off enough, we decided to move to Medivets. One of the main things that attracted us (besides the glowing reviews) was that they are a 'Silver Level Cat Friendly Accredited Practice' which was important to us given our boy finds the whole vet experience incredibly stressful and frightening. ......We haven't looked back since! Everyone at the practice is so warm, friendly and welcoming. It seems nothing is too much trouble. Kate (the vet we see) is fantastic and definitely the nicest vet we've ever dealt with. She's always shown such love and care for our cat, even though he's probably tried to attack her on several occasions! But that doesn't matter, and it's such a relief that we know he'll get the best care no matter how difficult his experience is at the vets. Whenever we have questions or concerns, Kate is always happy to discuss things over the phone and even calls to follow up on how things are going which I've never experienced before! Just brilliant. Unfortunately our cat was recently diagnosed with early onset of kidney disease but we've no doubt that Kate and the team will ensure our beloved cat receives the best care so he'll be around (fingers crossed!!) for many more years to come.

After losing my beloved Shih Tzu in December, I was heart broken and the staff were amazing with him and our family. I now have another little addition to my life and youre always so kind, understanding, sensitive to my loss and giving my little pup the best care and advice I could have wished for. When you lose a pet its a family member and even with my very special baby Im besotted with, I miss my other baby and thats never over looked. I cant thank all of the staff enough for their kindness, care and knowledge and also support. I would recommend medivet to anyone who has a pet as I know they care about every animal as if they were their own and take the owners into account too. I ever grateful. Thank you!
I can not rate ALL the staff highly enough, my dog was diagnosed quickly with the worst of all possible conditions and yet, the love they showed him and the care he received was top notch. The passion and love these consummate professionals have for all animals makes them a credit to their profession. I truly hope you never need a vet, but if you do, dont hesitate to visit either canford heath or oakdale as you could not be in safer or more caring hands. Freddie may be gone but the compassion these huge hearted animal lovers showed to both of us, in our hour need makes them, in my eyes, absolute legends.
Overall the nicest vets we have ever been to in our 11 years of dog ownership. Juliet and Carol in reception are ever so welcoming and friendly. They make time to chat and treat your furry friend like one of their own. The vets are all very capable too. Highly recommended......
