Busy place and good staff service. Three stars only because the upper deck fire exit was padlocked. A serious breach of Health and Safety regulations
Fantastic setting, great views what can beat that you might ask. Well try the food that they serve and you will have the answer. Staff are smart, clean and respectful. The food fresh and cooked to perfection. Enjoy
We like to visit this cafe/restaurant whenever we walk along the beach from Bournemouth to Sandbanks. It's ideally situated for refreshments in one direction or another. Great views from the balcony seating area. Food and drink of good quality, a little pricier than other cafs. A firm favourite for us.
Gastro on the beach...but it seems to miss the point for me. The cafe upstairs feels like the less affluent setting with less choice and self service (and very poor views which is pretty remarkable given the location) with the downstairs restaurant with waitress service offering a lot more choice And fab panoramic views for the more well heeled. However if you just want a latte and a cake I would probably look elsewhere!
Excellent breakfast, well cooked. Only problem being, turned up at 10 when it said it would open but breakfast weren't being served till 10.30 and didn't start coming out till almost 10.45. However decent tea and a great view helped. For a Wednesday morning by 10.20 it was almost full
