Six of us dined here last night and all had a really lovely evening. The service was polite and prompt and I'd say I had the best roast beef and Yorkshire pudding (with all the trimmings) to date, well done chef. Wine was amazing too. The ambiance and decor is something special here and sets it apart. We had drinks at the bar afterward which felt very classy. Will definitely be coming back to try their cocktails over the holidays!
Wasn't sure as the place looked so upmarket but wow, the roast was one of the best I've eaten in a very long time. The belly of pork was cooked to perfection and had so much flavour. It was accompanied by parsnips, roasts, broccoli and gravy (and maybe something else but alas, I forget) it did take a while to arrive but it was worth the wait for sure! The building is quite impressive, situated in a defunct bank. The waiting staff were very attentive and helpful also. My only gripe was there was no pudding menu to look at, I was told the list of about five or so deserts but couldn't remember them by the time the waitress had finished telling me so decided to skip.
Great food, great service. Very varied menu. Fabulous decor , particularly love the peacock? private dining room. Not very cheap but definitely worth it. Great for long relaxed weekend lunch.
Went on a weeknight night, what a great vibe.. and open till 4AM ??. I highly recommend booking a table early for the night. The food is so yummy and a great wine list. Drinks at the bar a bit pricey, but well worth it for the venue. The wait staff were fantastic and were able to accommodate a number of dietary requirements which was great.
Beautiful venue with fab food and cocktails. The staff are all very friendly which contributes to the great atmosphere. Eaten here several times and it's always been amazing. Ended up here for our wedding meal yesterday, as we couldn't get to The Jetty due to the snow and it really was great. Best bar/restaurant in town. Thank you.
