Pitches were in reasonable condition given the hot weather. Reasonable clean changing rooms.
I have been using this recreational place for a very very long time. As a family have had pic-mics and played. And held community fun days. Not to forget the sports that are played there. And of course the nature reserve. I suggest a walk round by the backwater on a somme evening and stand and listen to bird sound and insects. Watch the water and if you are lucky you can see flat fish in the shallows all silver and shimmering flip flopping, making the water ripple. Magical.
